About Katrinka

Hi, I'm Katrinka and I write and live in Tacoma, Washington with my husband Brian, daughter Tigist, dog Apollo, and cat Riptide.

I am a storyteller; always have been.

For the last thirty years or so I've been developing content and writing text for all manner of museums. I've covered everything—robots to religion, treaties to tigers. I've worked on exhibits for children's museums, history museums, science museums, corporate museums, aquariums, zoos, and even a planetarium. Each project has been a joy, a chance to learn something new.

Now I'm turning my attention to fiction writing, fantasy in particular. In my first book, Section 130, I explore what supernatural beings—siren, fey, zombies, demons, Sasquatch and more can teach us about being human. I hope you'll enjoy it.

I have lots of of ideas and projects in the works, so check back soon to see what's next.
